A Sommelier's Blog - Catching Up!!

Hello Wine Lovers,

Sorry about the lack of blogging activity lately. I finally hit a wall on the everyday writing and realized that I need to be more prepared. So I took a little time off to do some interviews, talk with some old friends about wine and I also wanted spring to kick in so I could talk about the seasonality of wine and how your wine lists and cellars should reflect that change.
So, hang in there and there will some good stuff coming soon.

Cheers and Drink Good Wine!!

Grape Du Jour:
Tempranillo [tem-prah-NEE-lyoh]
An important red wine grape native to northern Spain and widely cultivated in the northern and central parts of the country. Tempanillo produces its best results in the cooler growing regions of Rioja Alavesa, Rioja Alta, Ribera del Duero, and parts of the Penedes. In these areas, Tempranillo can generate deep-colored wines with characteristics of strawberry, spice, and fresh tobacco.
